STREAKS WORKOUT (IOS, £3.99)

-

A NEW version of the popular iPhone exercise app Streaks Workout brings some great features which might just make it the most essential app of its kind.

It’s not a “seven-minute workout” app, but employs the same kind of bodyweight circuit training of that genre, and wraps it in a habit-forming package that can help you stick to your workout routine.

So, the deal is very simple – you have to complete a workout every day. Even a short workout. Do it two days in a row, and you’ve started a streak. And you wouldn’t want to break a streak, would you?

So, on day three, even though the last thing you want to do is exercise, you do it… and you’ve got a three-day streak. And that makes day four even more essential.

And then, well – you get the idea.

Streaks Workout is now on version four, and with that upgrade comes some great new features, not least the ability to create your own routines.

You can also set a goal for the number of weekly workouts you have to complete to keep the streak going, access the app via Siri shortcuts, and much more.

There’s an Apple TV app, and an Apple Watch app, too, so you can keep the streak going on the big and small screen as well.

TINDER this week launched its new ‘Orientation’ feature to help users of the dating site best express their sexual orientation.

Daters can now choose up to three terms that best fit them from a selection of nine including example, straight, gay, queer, asexual or bisexual.

Tinder CEO Elie Seidman said: “We want all of our users to feel empowered expressing who they are while connecting with new people — and we’re always working to make that easier for our users on Tinder.”
