Large emergency response to fall death at estate
POLICE are investigating after a man died when he ‘fell from a height’ in Fulham.
Met Police officers were called to the incident at Clem Attlee Court at 12.30pm on Monday last week following reports of a person who had fallen from a height.
They attended alongside the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance. However, despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Met Police was in the process of finding his next of kin to inform them of the news, and said the death is being investigated at this time. They did not state whether it was being treated suspiciously.
Clem Attlee Court is a residential estate with high rise tower blocks off Lillie Road and North End Road.
Minister for trade Greg Hands, the MP for Chelsea and Fulham, saw the scene and posted on X about it. His caption read: “Something serious has happened here on Lillie Road, SW6/ W6, with all of an air ambulance, fire, police and ambulances. I can’t recall ever seeing a helicopter land on Normand Park. I hope everyone is OK. I will try to stay updated as this develops”.
In their statement, the Met Police said: “Police were called at around 12.30pm on Monday 1 April to reports of a person fallen from height at Clem Attlee Court, SW6.
“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are in the process of locating his next of kin. The death is still being investigated at this time.”
A spokesman for the LAS, said: “We were called at 12:30 today (April 1) to reports of a person falling from height in Fulham (SW6).
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
