ita Ora’s hot. There’s no R denying that. But the latest love drama she’s landed herself in might be a bit too fiery: she’s risked upsetting Gwyneth Paltrow by reportedly spending the night partying with the actress’ ex-husband Chris Martin, 39.
Last week, Rita attended a Coldplay gig in New Jersey, before having dinner with the frontman at The Spotted Pig in New York, then going back to his hotel for an after-party. Rita, 25, left the next morning wearing the exact same dress. (We’re going to call it the walk of PRIDE, because who’d be ashamed about spending time with Chris Martin?)
But hang on: wasn’t Rita on holiday with Lewis Hamilton the other week? And before that, wasn’t she hanging out with Justin Bieber? Well, yes, friends tell heat. Rita’s playing the field and she’s loving it. “Rita and Chris have known each other since 2012. They met through her then-mentor Jay Z,” an insider tells heat. “Rita really likes Chris – he gives her good advice. He’s really fun, too, and she knows the talk of them hanging out will create a buzz around her.”
So, what about Lewis, who was seen leaving Rita’s apartment the day after her date with Chris? “Rita and Lewis really like each other,” says our insider. “But he’s a ladies’ man, so she knows to keep things casual. It’s the same between her and Justin.”
There’s also another problem: Gwyneth, who’s remained super-close to Chris since their split in 2014. “Rita and Gwyneth were friendly in 2013, but then Rita fell out with Jay Z last year [she sued Jay’s record company to get out of her contract],” says our source. “Gwyn is worried that Chris and Rita spending time together may annoy Jay and Beyoncé. They’re important friends, so she’d never risk upsetting them – she’d hate for Chris to be seen as disloyal.” n ISSY SAMPSON
