Rob & Blac ‘heading for a split’
Rob Kardashian and his pregnant fiancée are fighting non-stop over their reality show
It’s less than a month until Rob Kardashian’s new reality show starts on E! – 12 September at 9pm, people – but heat has learned that there’s a big chance he’ll have split up with his pregnant fiancée Blac Chyna before the programme even gets on the air.
“The series is causing serious stress for them and Rob is not handling it well. He’s been skipping out on filming,” says a friend of Kim’s younger brother. “He’ll say he’s going to show up to shoot a scene and then go missing. A nd while it used to be Chyna who could cheer him up, now he’s started to see her as the enemy. On his bad days he calls her a gold digger, and he’s paranoid that the only reason she’s with him is to make a name for herself. He says she’s blown all his money in less than a year, and that’s why he had no choice but to do the show, but now they fight over every aspect of it.”
On the list of rows? Rob and Chyna’s storylines. Our insider says, “Rob thinks Chyna is way too open with the producers. He asked her not to talk about their sex life, but she didn’t listen. She wants to make his diet and weight struggles a big part of the series and doesn’t seem to get why it’s embarrassing for him. She’s been filming without him, and he even resents her for that.”
Now, the friend tells heat, everyone thinks they’re just weeks away from a split. “Rob’s miserable, and it’ll surprise everyone if he lasts much longer with Blac.”
We’ve witnessed enough teary, arguments outside bars to recognise that last week’s between actress Courteney Cox and Johnny Mcdaid was a doozy. Onlookers said the tension was palpable between the on-off couple as they sat outside Granger & Co restaurant in Notting Hill, west London, shouting at each other, waving their hands in the air and finally stomping off (separately).
“It’s the same old fight about their living situation,” says a friend of the actress. Courteney lives in LA with her daughter, Coco, 11, while Snow Patrol musician Johnny is based in the UK. “Court’s trying to make it work by travelling between the US and London. She knows the UK is where Johnny’s band is based and she understands that, but it’s taking a toll on her and on their relationship. They end up snapping at each other a lot, and that’s what happened last week. She’d been bottling up her frustration and he wasn’t very sympathetic. So she lost it.”
The pair, who’ve been dating since 2013, broke off their six-month engagement last December, but in April the ring went back on and a happy ever after looked possible. Then, in June, heat reader Katie told us how she’d spent the evening at the Coppafeel! Ball event with Courteney, who was ringless once again. The 52-year-old actress admitted to Katie that she and Johnny, 40, were struggling, saying, “It’s really hard, because he lives in London and I live in L A.” Courteney also revealed they had “no plans” to get married, and now friends say things are rocky again.
“Courteney realises Johnny can’t always be in the US and she makes every effort to be there for him between her acting jobs, but she’s exhausted from travelling back and forth constantly,” says the friend. “Then, she comes home jet lagged and Coco wants her attention – it’s not ideal. Courteney is a people pleaser – she wants to make both Johnny and Coco happy, but she doesn’t know how. She doesn’t want to lose him, but it’s not looking great.”
The pair were later seen cuddling at Heathrow airport, as Courteney flew home to LA, so it looks like they’ve kissed and made up – at least for now. n LUCY VINE
