She reveals the truth about those LA rumours
From peeing herself on TV to CBB winner and fitness queen, Charlotte Crosby has achieved a lot since she first starred in Geordie Shore five years ago. But it’s been a tough year for the star – she finally seemed to be settling down with Gary Beadle, but then suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy and split up with him for good.
But since quitting Geordie Shore in June, Charlotte is doing well – she’s about to star in TV show Celebs Go Dating, release a new In The Style collection – oh, and move into a huge house…
So, we heard you were leaving us to go to LA – what happened? ?
I did lie about that for a while, saying I was going to LA for auditions. I thought it was funny, then it was all over the magazines! But I wasn’t. I’ve only just bought a house here.
Talking of which, we’ve been drooling over your new place in Newcastle on Snapchat…
My house is like a castle. I’m not in it yet – there’s still a lot of work to do to it. It’s so huge, it’s on an acre of land. It only has four bedrooms, but sleeps up to 12 people. I’ve got a gym and an exercise pool where you swim against the current, and there’s also a 90in TV in the cinema room. I’ve got three sitting rooms, too – one of them I don’t think anyone will ever go in. The dogs have their own room… it’s so nice. Walking around, I feel so proud, like, “Wow, how the hell has all this happened?”
When you first joined Geordie
Shore, did you ever think you would be this successful?
Well, we were all applying for jobs in call centres after the first series, so no! It never hits us when people say, “Your DVD was a bestseller, it sold this many copies…” But when I got my house and started buying all the furniture, I walked around and that’s when I first experienced the feeling of utter pride. I was like, “This is it, this is the feeling I was supposed to get.”
Are you enjoying life after GS?
I love it. I feel free – there’s so much freedom that comes alongside it. I literally love it so much. We filmed three times a year for six to seven weeks at a time and I would miss holidays and friends’ birthdays. I could never plan anything.
People still speculate that you might go back…
I won’t be returning to ever do a series again. But if they ever did a reunion show, though, then yeah.
What are you up to next?
I’m doing a third fitness DVD, and I’d love to host me own game show or something.
What do you make of Bear on CBB?
I met him once, but can’t remember what he was like, I was so drunk. Poor Lillie [Bear’s ex, who also used to date Gaz] – seems all her boyfriends like going on TV and mugging her off.
Have you been watching Gaz on Ex On The Beach?
Nah.
