As she juggles divorce and rumours of a new engagement and pregnancy, what’s really going on with Khloé Kardashian?
Her divorce is finally signed – so the Kardashian star is moving on from ex Lamar, and then some!
She’s had a tough couple of years, but last week Khloé Kardashian had a hugely eventful seven days. Not only did she finally get the divorce she’d been waiting for from ex-husband Lamar Odom, but she showed off an engagement ring on Instagram. And, heat can report, there are even rumours she could be pregnant with new boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s baby. Like we said: pretty big news.
Khloé’s been trying to divorce Lamar, who she married in
September 2009, for almost three years, but proceedings were put on hold in October last year when he overdosed and almost died. But when Lamar was spotted drinking again seven months ago, Khloé, 32, refiled the papers. Last week, Lamar finally signed them, meaning she’ll be a single woman again in less than a month.
“Khloé is more than ready to move on after what Lamar put her through over the past year – all she wants is to be rid of him. When they first split up, there was a big part of her that was hanging on and did not want it to be over,” says her friend. “She let the divorce drag on and on because she genuinely believed they might figure it out. But after Lamar nearly died and still refused to stay sober, she realised there was nothing she could do to make him change.”
Our insider says that Lamar, 36, still owes Khloé money from his medical care when he was hospitalised, but she’s willing to write off the debt in exchange for the divorce going through. “It was at the point where she would have agreed to just about anything to get the divorce over with,” says the insider. “She’s not saying how much, but her friends are sure it’s close to $3million that she’s letting go.”
Still, Khloé’s feeling lucky, tweeting last week, “Thankful!! God bless us all!” And her friend tells us, “She’s very excited to be a free woman. She’s talking about throwing a divorce party, something to commemorate the end of this chapter in her life.” We’re told that Khloé’s mum Kris Jenner offered to do a deal with a Vegas club, where Khloé could go wild, but, in a very un-khloé move, she turned it down. “Her idea is to have something with just her sisters, her mom and closest friends,” we’re told.
And, friends say, the reason Khloé was so keen to become a single woman might have something to do with new man Tristan, the 25-year-old basketball player she’s been dating since August.

her nieces and nephews, she longs to have her own children. Khloé’s a natural, she’ll make a great mother. She’s the favourite aunt.” Another friend adds, “She’s wanted kids for years.”
Just days after the divorce announcement, Khloé showed off what looked like an engagement ring on Instagram. “Everyone knows she’d say yes if Tristan asked her to marry him – and it could have already happened,” says the friend.
Last week, Khloé’s best friend Malika Haqq revealed that Tristan’s got the seal of approval from her friends and family.
“He’s the coolest
guy in the world – and, you know, Khloé’s always loved basketball,”
she said. “They take great care of their friends and families. They love to enjoy themselves. They both work very hard. They have a lot of things in common, and they’re extremely supportive.” Of course, there’s no Kardashian happiness without some drama on the horizon, and as we told you three weeks ago, Tristan already has a baby on the way – with his ex girlfriend, Jordan Craig. She’s due to give birth as soon as next month but, our insider says, Tristan’s telling Khloé he’s committed to her – and she believes him. “They’ve been inseparable in recent weeks,” the friend tells us. “She watches him every time he plays basketball, even skipping Kim’s birthday party in L A to watch him courtside. She’s fallen very hard for him and she’s trying not to let this one go.”
