It’s been a busy couple of weeks for X Factor’s Sam Lavery. After making it through to Fright Night, the 17 year old –who’s been dubbed the “next Cheryl” – was caught in a scandal after it was claimed she was found kissing 5AM singer Nathan Lewis in a cupboard backstage. And that came after ex-boyfriend Acea Brabrook, 24, sold his story to a newspaper claiming “fame hungry” Sam dumped him by text. So, what the heck’s going on? heat caught up with Sam to find out… So, what’s the truth about you and 5AM’S Nathan? Nothing is going on. Me and Nathan are really good friends. I get on with him as much as anybody in the house. There’s nothing romantic there. Did the cupboard story make things awkward between you guys at all? Not at all. We just laughed it off, as we know that nothing is going on. I look up to him as a big brother. What really happened when you split with your ex? It wasn’t serious . We were only seeing each other for a couple of weeks, and because of The
X Factor, I wasn’t sure where I was gonna be, or when I was gonna be home… It wouldn’t be fair on me or on him, so I ended it. Were you surprised to see him talk to a paper? We broke up in the summer and I haven’t spoken to him for months, so I was surprised to read it. I thought it was a mutual decision, so it was a shock. It was a shame that it had to be like that and we couldn’t stay friends. Are any other exes going to come out of the woodwork? I only have one other, and we’re still friends. Has Honey G given you any advice on coping with the press? I look up to Honey G because she doesn’t acknowledge the press. She doesn’t read it and she blocks it out.
