Trevor Nelson flashes his Celebrity Passport

- Trevor Nelson Club Classics is out on 4 November on Universal Music On Demand

Where’s the coolest place you’ve ever stayed?

I Djed at Hotel Ducap in the South of France, a really famous place with Hollywood stars. It was amazing. I had one of those moments where I thought, “I’m really lucky to be doing this job.”

Coolest bar or club?

Lio’s in Ibiza. It overlooks the old town. They do really highend cuisine with caviar and all that stuff, darling! If you cancel your table at short notice, you have to pay 100 euro a head. It’s ridiculous. After the meal, there is a cabaret, then the pool disappears and they turn the place into a nightclub.

What’s your best childhood holiday memory?

I only ever went to St Lucia as a child [Trevor’s parents are from St Lucia], but they’re not good memories. I was seven the first time I went and a bat flew into the shower with me. I ran out screaming, naked, and trod on a cockroach. I just wanted to come home. But I went back again when I was 15 and loved it.

Where’s the hottest place for a holiday Instagram?

St Lucia. I have a home there now, so I’m pretty biased.

What’s your best souvenir?

I bought a metal animal head hunting trophy in South Africa. The arts and crafts in Johannesburg are great.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve put in your mouth abroad?

In Iceland, I ate putrified whale. And it’s really disgusting.

What’s your biggest holiday mistake?

I hate packing and I always get in a panic. Then I forget something and get in a mess. Once I came away without any underpants or socks. Luckily, they are easy enough to buy wherever you are. Favourite holiday companion? My missus. I’m not just saying it – she’s brilliant. She’s organised, she does the packing for me. We work hard and she’s always excited when we go away.
