Jen and the unwanted Friend
Uh-oh, Justin just took another woman to his wife’s favourite restaurant
There are perks to being married to a hot actor, and then there are the, er, non-perks. Such as actresses 20 years your junior getting cosy with your husband as part of their job. But that doesn’t mean they have to be part of your home life, too, and friends say Jennifer Aniston is struggling to deal with stories about Justin Theroux’s “close friendship” with his former Leftovers co-star, Emily Meade. Especially after he took her to Blue Hill, New York, the restaurant where he proposed to Jen.
“Justin’s stayed close to Emily since they worked together,” says an insider close to the 28-year-old actress, who was pictured leaving Justin’s house in hot-pants. “He was her mentor and they hung out a lot off set.” At the time, Emily said she found Justin, 45, “hot”, when asked whether her character would be hooking up with his. “I can’t answer that,” she said. “But yeah, Justin Theroux is hot.”
But when Justin took Emily to the place where he proposed to Jen, 48, in 2012, friends say his wife started worrying about what people might say. “They met up in New York and they chatted about her career and what she wants to achieve. It was all totally innocent and Jen knows that, but she can’t help worrying this friendship will kick off new rumours. After all, he and Emily haven’t worked together for years, and Jen’s had a hard few months when it comes to speculation about their relationship.”
As heat’s told you, there was frenzied speculation earlier this year over Jen’s ex-husband Brad Pitt getting back in touch, and when Justin got “too close for comfort” with actress Naomi Watts. The insider adds, “Of course Jen knows her marriage is strong, but she would prefer this to stay under the radar to avoid other people gossiping. Especially as Emily has said in the past that she finds Justin attractive.” n LUCY VINE
