A-rod treats J-LO to £1M BAE-CATION

The A-listers have taken the mini break to a whole new level

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have had a tough couple of weeks after his ex, Lauren Hunter, claimed that the baseball star had been sending her texts and asking her to meet up (he denies it and is taking legal action). But that’s nothing a super-luxe long weekend in Europe can’t solve, right?

J-LO and her boyfriend of four months headed to France last week on a trip that insiders say cost upwards of £1m – and A-rod paid for everything.

“The break was Jen’s idea,” says our insider. “She started planning it as soon as that woman made the claims about Alex. She wanted to show the world she was standing by him – she planned the whole thing.”

The friend tells heat that they travelled from Miami to Nice on a private jet “filled with fresh flowers, Jo Malone candles and a private chef, who created a special vegan menu,” adding, “They then went onto Monte Carlo in Monaco by limo, had a very expensive dinner at Michelin-starred Le Chèvre D’OR, and then stayed on a yacht for two days. Alex got extra security for those days, and he treated Jennifer to a whole new holiday wardrobe, including a shopping trip to Chanel and a Gucci dress. They had a private yoga session in St Tropez, too.”

After lunch at the famous Hôtel du Cap Eden-roc, our insider says they hired a private villa for some, er, private time, before flying on to Paris, also by private jet, where they visited the Louvre, and stayed in the Presidential Suite at Le Meurice , which costs a massive £10,000 a night. Oh, and then back to LA on another private jet. Because first class would have been a letdown after all that.

J-LO documented the whole holiday on Instagram, hashtagging it #baecation, and posting no less than 12 photos. “She wanted to take Alex to her favourite places in France, but he insisted on paying for the entire trip,” says our insider. “I think he felt bad that she’d been embarrassed by the claims he was texting another woman, and he wanted to treat her to a romantic vacation. She was really impressed and flattered, as she paid for everything when she was dating [previous boyfriend] Casper Smart.”
