Could pregnant Ferne Mccann ever get back with her “acid attack” ex?

Could she give him another chance?

-

Ferne Mccann’s ex-boyfriend, and father of her unborn child, Arthur Collins pleaded not guilty in his “acid attack” case last week, leaving the star facing more turmoil and uncertainty. Arthur’s plea means that the case will now go to trial, with a date set for 9 October, just weeks before Ferne’s baby is due. And if he’s cleared of the charges, friends say that could potentially change everything for her.

“Of course she still has some feelings for him – she can’t just switch those off overnight,” an insider explains. “Wiping Arthur out of her life completely is next to impossible to do, whatever happens in the case. But even if he’s found innocent, Ferne is worried about the storm all this has caused. It’s hard, but she’ll make the right decision.”

Arthur has been in custody since his arrest in April – the 24 year old went on the run for six days after the attack in an east London nightclub, which left two people blind in one eye and more than 22 injured. Along with another man, Arthur pleaded not guilty to five counts of causing GBH with intent, and 11 counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

While Ferne, 27, has vowed to bring her baby up without the help of a man, if Arthur is found not guilty, it’s likely he will be entitled to access.

“Arthur will be allowed access, unless it’s proved that he’d be a danger to the baby – but even then, he could push for supervised visits,” our insider continues. “Even if he’s sent to prison, he’ll still have rights to the child.”

For now, Ferne is said to have cut off all contact from Arthur and has blocked his number from her phone. She seems intent on being a strong single mother. It is not thought Ferne will attend his court case, but whatever the outcome, it’s going to be a very upsetting time for the TV presenter, who’ll give birth just weeks later in November. Our source reveals, “If Arthur is found guilty, Ferne will have to deal with the fact that the father of her child has committed an awful crime, and know he’ll have very little to do with the baby’s life.

“But if he’s cleared, she is faced with a dilemma about the future of their relationship, and what part he’ll then play in their lives.” n
