Kate Middleton takes Meghan Markle under her wing
She’s about to join The Firm, and luckily K-Middy's got her back
The prospect of becoming the Queen’s future granddaughter-in-law is obviously quite a daunting one, but thankfully for Meghan Markle, she’s got Wills’ wife Kate looking out for her.
Following reports that Prince Harry proposed to the 36-year-old actress during a romantic birthday getaway in Africa earlier this month, Meghan is now gearing herself up for life as a fully-fledged member of the royal family. And who better to give her advice than the woman who’s been there and done it?
“Kate has taken Meghan under her wing. She knows how tough the journey is – her life will never be the same,” our source explains. “It takes a strong woman to marry a prince, and Harry has chosen well. She and Kate really get on, and although they come from completely different backgrounds, they’ve bonded. Meg and Harry enjoy nights out and staying in with Kate and Wills.”
But Kate’s not the only one looking out for Harry’s future bride – Meghan has also been welcomed by the wives and girlfriends of Harry’s super-posh friends, as well as other members of the royal family. “Harry’s cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, have been helping Meghan to settle in, as have Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews, after meeting her properly for the first time at their wedding in May,” our insider continues. “The wives of Harry’s good friends Arthur Landon, Guy Pelly and Tom Inskip all love Meghan, and are doing their best to help her settle into her new life.”
At the moment, Meghan is based in Toronto, Canada, which is where she films her TV series
