Taylor’s court drama convinces her Joe’s the one
We’ll finally get to see them together in public
They’ve been dating for nearly a year, although Taylor Swift and boyfriend Joe Alwyn have yet to make their first official appearance together. But all that is about to change, as we’ve been told Taylor is planning a big reveal next month. After her recent court nightmare – where she won her sexual assault case against former radio host David Mueller – Taylor wants to show the world just how strong she and Joe are. “The trial has been a really difficult time for Taylor, but now she’s trying to focus on her relationship and career, and move on with her life,” heat’s insider explains. “As well as gearing up for her career comeback, she’s also really excited to finally go public with Joe at a big event. Taylor has praised him for being there for her throughout the trial. He wanted to accompany her to the courthouse, but she was very aware they would get photographed, and didn’t want this to be their big debut in the public eye. Taylor has a single coming out in September, and they will be making appearances as a couple around that time.”
Taylor, 27, has been extracautious with her latest boyf after the embarrassment of last year’s short-lived but very public romance with Tom Hiddleston. The trial proved a turning point.
“It was a scary time for Taylor, and Joe really proved that he’s a supportive boyfriend, but also, most importantly, that he’s not intimidated by her fame,” our insider adds. “She hates being alone, and is looking forward to having Joe with her. She loves that Joe is holding her hand behind the scenes and he can’t wait to accompany her on tour. It’s been stressful, these last few months leading up to the trial, so they’re looking forward to putting it behind them.”
Now all they need to decide on is whether they’re “Jaylor” or “Toe”. n
