CANDICE BROWN (SERIES 7, 2016)
After last year’s triumph, lipstick-loving Candice has become a Sunday
Times columnist, written a recipe book called
Comfort , and has made several TV appearances, including Loose Women. It’s also been announced that she will be pulling on her skates to take part in 2018’s Dancing On Ice.
FRANCES QUINN
Frances, who famously beat Paul’s favourite Ruby Tandoh to the crown, is the author of Quintessential
Baking and has baked for the likes of Clare Balding. This year, she got the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest Jaffa Cake – a whopping 4ft wide.
NADIYA HUSSAIN
One of Bake Off’s most successful winners (and best acceptance speech givers), Nadiya’s baked the Queen’s 90th birthday cake, written two recipe books – Nadiya’s Kitchen and Nadiya’s British Food Adventure (to accompany her TV show) and a novel. She has also presented foodie travelogue show, The Chronicles Of Nadiya, and co-presents BBC2’S The Big Family Cooking Showdown with Zoë Ball.

Not content with writing his books John Whaite Bakes and John Whaite Bakes At Home, “Hot John” opened baking school John Whaite’s Kitchen in Lancashire. He’s also the resident chef on ITV’S Lorraine and is co-host on Chopping Block.
JOANNE WHEATLEY
Essex-girl Jo has two books, A Passion For
Baking and Home Baking, under her belt and runs classes in cupcake making from her farmhouse in Ongar. She’s appeared at live food events across the UK, including BBC Good Food Show and Ideal Home Show, and has a successful food blog called Jo’s Blue AGA.
NANCY BIRTWHISTLE
Post GBBO, Nancy continues to develop her own recipes on her website, Nancy
birtwhistle.co.uk, using eggs from her rescue hens (she calls herself the “Mother Teresa of chickens”). She also offers money saving ideas. To celebrate Eastenders’ 30th birthday, Nancy created a special Queen Vic-inspired cake, which she presented to the cast.
EDD KIMBER
Two days after winning the show, Edd quit his job as a debt collector to become a full-time baker. He’s since penned three books, The Boy Who Bakes, Say
It With Cake and Patisserie Made Simple, and travels the world giving baking demonstrations.
