Kate finally gets her happy family

Things are coming together for the Moss crew

- ■ Katie Holloway

Kate Moss is known for many things, but being the picture of domestic bliss has never really been one of them – until now. The supermodel looked every inch the doting mum and girlfriend as she enjoyed a walk with daughter Lila and boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck near their north London home last week. And insiders say Kate’s finally found the right balance in her life (and it’s only partly to do with that bundle of dog cuteness Lila’s holding).

“Kate’s had an emotional few years, but she’s truly content in her life now,” an insider tells heat. “She and Nik are in a good place and Lila loves seeing her mum so settled. She was never a big fan of Nik and has never seen him as a father figure, but she’s got used to him and he’s really cleaned up his act. She just wants Kate to be happy.”

After splitting with husband Jamie Hince back in 2015, Kate, 43, started seeing the aristocrat, who is 13 years her junior. But both Nik and Kate’s friends and family were initially worried about the pair, as both saw the other as a bad influence, due to their partying lifestyles.

Earlier this year, Nikolai’s parents decided to send him to rehab in America and the pair split up for a few months. However, they are now fully back together and 15-year-old Lila – who is nicknamed Saffy by her mum, after the straightlaced Absolutely Fabulous character – has reluctantly come round to him.

“It’s hard for Lila to block out all the partying Nikolai has done with her mum. Things are still not totally relaxed between them, but they’re a lot better than they used to be,” says our source. As heat told you a couple of months ago, Kate is keen to start a family with Nik, and their new pup is acting as a substitute baby. “Kate got the dog with Nik, because she’s been trying to get pregnant for a long time and it hasn’t happened,” our source adds. “She really wants another baby.”

Glad to see the original wild child settling down (but don’t go changing too much, Kate).
