Their future is still uncertain

While Ant Mcpartlin seems to be living his best life out in Oz, things aren’t exactly looking rosy for his return home to wife Lisa.

The couple have been struggling to keep their marriage afloat and, we’re told, things are still extremely difficult. But even with everything up in the air, the couple are still planning on spending the festive period together. “She’s said they will see each other over Christmas,” an insider tells heat.

Before Ant left to present I’m A Celeb, he had been living in a rented property around the corner from the couple’s home in west London. However, Lisa wants them to spend Christmas together – if not for their marriage, then for their friendship. “Lisa would rather stay friendly than be resentful. She doesn’t want to ruin what they had – this isn’t a blame game,” our source tells us. “Ant wants to spend this Christmas with Lisa; Christmas as her husband – even if this could be the last time.”

Ant and Lisa, both 41, say they don’t want to lose each other forever. According to our source, “They still speak almost every day and the time apart has done them good. Friends and family hope that their marriage is salvageable, but only time can tell. Neither Ant nor Lisa want to mention divorce, as it breaks both their hearts to think about giving up on the other one.”

The future, it seems, is still very much unclear and, for the moment, the troubled couple are focusing on the very short-term. As our source explains, “The sad reality is that this could be their last Christmas together.
