She’s scared she doesn’t know the whole truth
Thanks to the musical masterpiece that is Lemonade, we all know it’s more or less definite that Jay Z did cheat on wife Beyoncé. Nevertheless, the rapper’s apparent confession in an interview last month left us all stunned.
But, despite the music mogul’s revelations that painful experiences from his past had caused him to “shut down”, leading to “infidelity”, we’re told relations are still unsettled chez Carter-knowles. Apparently, Beyoncé is concerned that, even now, she doesn’t know the full extent of Jay’s apparent affairs.
An insider close to the couple tells heat, “Despite his multiple apologies this past year, Beyoncé is still struggling to forgive Jay, and worries there could be more women out there who she doesn’t know about. She thinks they still need help to work through their problems.”
Speculation about the rapper’s alleged infidelity exploded after “liftgate” in 2014, when Beyoncé’s sister Solange was caught on CCTV attacking her brotherin-law in anger over his affairs. And when Beyoncé released Lemonade last year, with its infamous mention of “Becky with the good hair”, the internet went wild with speculation about the mystery woman. Jay’s protégé Rihanna and designer Rachel Roy were both dragged into the mix, although they have denied any involvement.
Earlier this year, the rapper responded with his own explosive album 4:44, on which he rapped, “I apologise, often womanise”. Now Beyoncé, who gave birth to the couple’s twins Rumi and Sir in June, and is also mum to Blue Ivy, five, is doing all she can to ease her fears for good. She even posed with Jay in a lift last week while celebrating his 48th birthday – in an apparent tongue-in-cheek nod to her sister’s outburst.
Our source explains, “Bey’s determined not to become that crazed person she once was. But she keeps tabs on everything Jay gets up to and wants to see if he’s really changed his ways.”
Here’s hoping it works out because, according to our insider, the couple are still in love. “Worrying that she doesn’t know the whole truth upsets Beyoncé,” our source tells us. “But Jay is doing all he can to reassure her, and they are determined to make it work.”
