Kim’s mission to make Meghan her BFF
Has no one told her you can’t buy friendship?
As a bona-fide member of the upper A-list, Kim Kardashian is used to socialising with VIPS and receiving invitations to the most exclusive of events. But she’s yet to receive an invite to Buckingham Palace (the cheek of it), and enough is enough. Now, with a fellow Californian girl on the inside, Kim’s ready to right this wrong, and she’s not holding back. It’s time for Operation Woo Meghan.
“She’s still hugely disappointed that she wasn’t able to get an invite to the last royal wedding, and says that, this time, she’s going to make it happen,” a source close to Kim tells heat. “She’s going all out on an engagement present by asking her friend [Balmain designer] Olivier Rousteing to create a one-of-a-kind dress for Meghan. And she’s already got Lorraine Schwartz working on a pair of diamond earrings. There’s no budget.”
As they share a mutual friend in the form of Serena Williams, maybe she got some advice from her on what to buy? And if wearable bribes weren’t enough, we’re told that Kim’s also using husband Kanye West as ammunition, as she knows Harry’s a fan. “She’s hoping they might have Kanye perform at their engagement party, or even the wedding,” our source tells us. “She wants it to be impossible for Meghan to ignore her.”
Meanwhile, Kim’s covering all bases by trying to appeal to the royal couple’s humanitarian interests. “She knows she’s got a reputation for being pretty shallow, but she’s trying to re-brand herself as more charitable,” we’re told. And, if all else fails, “she’s considering donating a million dollars to Harry’s Invictus Games charity.” That’ll do it, Kim. And if not, we’ll be your friend at a discounted price. ■
