On the holiday of a lifetime in Florida, Scarlett Moffatt’s trying to put on a brave face after her break-up with Lee
The star looks heartbroken on hols after branding her ex a ‘cheat’
Pictured looking downcast during a dream trip to Florida, Scarlett Moffatt is struggling to cope with the aftermath of her recent bitter break-up. The Saturday Night Takeaway star had been due to take boyfriend of three months, Lee Wilkinson, on the luxury holiday – but just a day before their flight left, she branded him a “cheating, pathological liar.”
The 28 year old posted a tearful video on Instagram, before later writing on Facebook, “It scares me how much you think you can know someone. Trust is everything – if someone doesn’t think you’re enough for them, that’s a reflection on them, not you. Unless you’re Henry the Eighth, one girl should be enough.”
Fans flocked to support Scarlett, who replied to one well-wisher, “Thanks hun, just always seem to choose pathological liars,” and “I learn the hard way. I’m too trusting my mam says,” to another. The following day, she jetted off to Florida, after it was reported she had changed Lee’s name on the ticket to take a friend instead.
While she’s been all smiles for her social-media pictures of the sponsored trip, a source close to the star revealed she’s devastated, saying, “Behind closed doors, she’s been in floods of tears. She believes Lee’s cheated on her. She’s absolutely devastated, and has been re-evaluating their whole relationship ever since.” And holidaying in Florida may be a painful reminder for the TV presenter, as she only recently returned from filming the Saturday Night Takeaway final there, accompanied by Lee.
The couple initially started dating last Christmas, and Scarlett made it Insta-official in February. However, as heat previously reported, Scarlett’s friends were concerned from the start that Lee was only in it for the fame. And now it seems she might be thinking the same thing.
“Scarlett thinks than Lee was just dating her to get famous, and feels completely used,” our source claims. “It’s come at the worst time for her. She is desperately trying to put on a brave face, but her selfconfidence has hit rock bottom.”
Scarlett’s relationship with Lee began at a difficult time for her, as she was being plagued by rumours that she had something to do with Ant Mcpartlin’s break-up from wife Lisa Armstrong. The former Gogglebox star has always denied she had anything romantic with Ant, and was seemingly very happy in her new relationship with Lee, who works as a male stripper.
After the couple had gone public, an ex-girlfriend of Lee’s was quick to accuse Scarlett’s new boyfriend of questionable intentions. The anonymous ex claimed, “He’s a cheat and always has been. He has no respect for anyone – he’s
fame-hungry and using her.”
The County Durham native – who also works as a butler in the buff with his twin – regularly posts topless pictures, and has clearly enjoyed being in the limelight. Our source reveals that his fame-seeking tendencies had not gone unnoticed by Scarlett.
“She fears he could just have been a gold digger all along. He definitely wanted to raise his profile, and would talk about them doing a show together. Scarlett didn’t think anything of it at first, but now she realises he could be more interested in fame than their relationship.”

got no motivation to think about diet and exercise right now,” we’re told. “She’s been trying to cheer herself up with her mates, but that has included eating her feelings and taking the pressure off her diet, because she is just not in the right frame of mind.”
Diet and exercise are a sensitive subject for Scarlett, who recently came under fire for her allegedly misleading workout DVD. “Scarlett was already feeling vulnerable, and she felt like Lee was the only person in her life that could cheer her up when she needed her self-esteem boosted. Now she feels as though their relationship was a lie all along. Her pals have been doing their best to lift her spirits, but Scarlett has been a mess.”
Before she met Lee, Scarlett was in a year-long relationship with hairdresser Luke Crodden. They broke up not long after she was crowned queen of the jungle on I’m A Celeb, before getting back together a couple of months later. They moved in together in June, but split again last October. Now Scarlett’s friends are worried this latest revelation has knocked her back all over again. We’re told, “It’s made her feel as though she’ll never be happy with anyone. She really missed her old life, and what dating was like before she became famous. She loves her career and is grateful for all the opportunities she’s had, but she’s wondering if it will cost her in her relationships.
“She feels as though she can’t trust anyone, and will always be wondering if guys are genuine or not. Her friends are really worried about her.”
