Friends Fear Lee’s ‘brainwashed’ scarlett

Break-ups and make-ups galore

You’d think it would be hard to come back from calling someone a “cheating, pathological liar”. But Scarlett Moffatt has proved it is possible, having reunited with boyfriend Lee Wilkinson last week.

The couple initially split after male stripper Lee got in contact with ex-girlfriend Sam Irving, prompting Scarlett, 27, to go on an online rant before jetting off on holiday without him – with a friend taking Lee’s place. Now she’s back in the UK and back with her ex, after fans spotted a photo of Scarlett and Lee having breakfast together on his Instagram stories. And Lee’s ex-girlfriend – who had been in contact with Scarlett – even told a newspaper that, “The day she got back from Florida, [Scarlett] told me Lee had turned up at her house with flowers and

chocolates and she’d let him in.”

Now friends are worried that Scarlett has allowed Lee back into her life too easily. “Pals fear that Lee has got a hold over Scarlett, and that he’s playing on the fact that she’s really vulnerable and insecure right now,” a source tells heat. “Lee has convinced Scarlett that their issues have been down to a jealous ex trying to cause problems, and she believes him. But Lee can be controlling, and has made Scarlett extremely stressed with his behaviour.”

When the couple first got together back in December, another of Lee’s exes warned Scarlett that the Butler in the Buff was a “cheat,” adding, “He has no respect for anyone – he’s fame-hungry and using her.”

And it seems Scarlett’s pals might be thinking the same thing. We’re told, “They say it seems as if Scarlett has been brainwashed. They feel that Lee is getting used to all the attention he gets by dating someone famous, and doesn’t want to let Scarlett out of his grip. The problem is that Scarlett hates being alone, and when Lee turns on the charm, he makes her feel like a princess and all her problems go away.”

But, while her love life may be a cause for concern, Scarlett’s career is flying. Not only will she be leading Radio 1’s coverage for the royal wedding, she’s also bagged herself a role in her first film, with a small part in the adaptation of Caitlin Moran’s How to Build A Girl.
