We never thought we’d see Mark Wright interview Kim Kardashian – but that happened – so Ferne Mccann’s wish to follow in his footsteps and make it big in the US might not be as far-fetched as it seems.
Following the success of her ITVBE reality series First Time Mum, a source close to the Essex lass tells us, “Ferne loves that her show is the centre of attention right now, and she knows what she does next is key to her career – is she going to continue to play the single mum, or does she want to be known as the fit, sexy Essex girl?”
After a turbulent year, Ferne has been embracing every career opportunity she can, alongside raising her six-month-old daughter Sunday. “If they can get her to the US to do a show and that goes well, then there’s no reason why she can’t launch herself on a mainstream American TV channel, with either her own show or a presenting gig,” we’re told. “She says she wants to be like Mark Wright, whose career has gone stratospheric.”
However, even with her work life going from strength to strength, Ferne still struggles with loneliness, as we’ve seen in her TV show. “If it wasn’t for her family – and good friend Arg – she wouldn’t have anyone to turn to,” we’re told. “She still hasn’t started dating, and it’s hard for her to even meet anyone for a drink. Most evenings, it’s just her, Sunday, her mum and the TV for company.” n
