Why the honeymoon is over for Millie and Hugo
She’s feeling insecure, he’s getting fed up…
She’s usually the primped and preened queen of Chelsea, decked out in designer gowns and looking as polished as a china doll. But following her recent wedding to fellow Chelsea-dweller Hugo Taylor, Millie Mackintosh is said to be feeling anxious and insecure, largely down to a breakout of acne.
The 29 year old recently shared a picture of herself with no make-up on with her Instagram followers, explaining, “My skin has been breaking out since my wedding. Not sure if it’s the heat or what, off to get some light therapy.” She continued, “I will keep you posted on what I find helps! Acne can make me feel so rubbish, but big sunnies and a smile always help!”
And our insider reveals that it’s more than getting Millie down. “She’s always been highly strung, but Millie is proving to be a needy new wife,” our source says. “She’s had terrible acne, which has popped up since just after the wedding, and it’s making her massively insecure. She’s a perfectionist, so when she’s not perfect, she gets anxious.”
Millie and Hugo married in June this year, and while the pair have been looking super-loved up in their Instagram posts, our source tells us there is underlying tension.
“Hugo understands that she goes through these periods, and he has to be a little more attentive,” we’re told. “But he is finding it exhausting. If he so much as talks to another woman, Millie’s there. He was hoping that, with marriage, she’d be more secure with their relationship.
“He’s hardly going to run off with the next passing woman just because she has a few spots.”
