Ferne’s feeling the pressure of keeping in shape

Looking amazing has its downsides

- Katie Holloway

There’s no denying that Ferne Mccann has an absolutely banging bod. The former TOWIE star, who recently turned 28, has worked incredibly hard to get herself in amazing shape following the birth of daughter Sunday last November. She recently captioned an Insta story, “Ibiza bod coming along nicely,” while posing in pants and a sports bra. But an insider close to the reality star tells us Ferne is really feeling the pressure to stay in shape.

“Ferne knows that she’s never looked better and that her body is her business,” a friend tells heat. “But she sometimes feels that, if she didn’t look the way she does, she wouldn’t have half the work offers she gets. She feels so much pressure to stay looking amazing, she feels guilty if she treats herself.”

Ferne recently hit back at a troll who had left a comment on a picture of the star in her underwear, saying, “OMG you’re a mummy, have some self-respect and get your clothes on and look after baby!” It seemed to hit a nerve, as Ferne quickly replied with a video over-explaining that it was incredibly hot in her house – hence the lack of clothing – before showing Sunday asleep.

Adding to her woes, it’s been claimed that Ferne is upset at not being asked to be one of Billie Faiers’ bridesmaids, despite the pair being best friends for years. After Ferne’s falling out with Billie’s sister Sam, we imagine it would have been pretty awkward to have them together.

Our insider continues, “It’s been a tough few weeks for Ferne – she’s so busy with work, and feels like she’s not spending as much time with Sunday as she’d like. What doesn’t help is that she’s become more obsessed about her

appearance, weight and going to the gym – it can dominate her life.”

A source has previously told heat that Ferne, 28, was determined to maintain the “perfect” figure, as she knows how much money it can make her. She’s part of Herbalife, a scheme that encourages people to join her “team” and sign up to a nutrition and diet plan. Some fans are dubious of Herbalife and have commented, “Herbalife fronted by Ferne. Lies promoted by a liar,” and, “The Herbalife pyramid scheme is basically a cult.”

Herbalife have strenuously denied they are a pyramid scheme and a cult, and our source tells us that, while Ferne is upset by the criticism, she’s happy to carry on with Herbalife, as it’s making her money as she moves higher up in the structure.
