Una vows revenge on cheat Ben

After rugby player signs up to dating app

-

After finding out that her husband was on a dating app, we can’t blame Una Healy for being pretty pissed off with Ben Foden. The rugby player has signed up to dating service Bumble and his profile includes such tidbits as, “Heading Stateside in December. Never believe in making plans… If you’re uptight and bossy I’m not for you. Getting divorced.” Sounds like a real keeper, ladies.

Una and Ben – who have two children together, Aoife, six, and Tadhg, three – split at the end of July amid multiple allegations that Ben had cheated on his wife of six years. And now, a source close to The Saturdays’ singer tells us she is ready to get her own back on her cheating husband. “Una thinks Ben is being positively spiteful,” we’re told. “She thinks the dating profile makes him look a bit tacky, like a young sportsman on his first trip away from home, rather than a mature dad who has two children to look after. After she found out he was on Bumble she immediately started to delete loads of photos of them together on Instagram, and that’s just the start of it. She’s now warned him that his behaviour could end up costing him a relationship with his kids, who he claims are his world.”

After the couple split, Una and their children moved in with her mother in Ireland. The family were supposed to be moving to New York together after Ben signed a contract with a New York-based rugby team, but understandably, Una has decided to stay in Europe. The insider adds, “Although she’s devastated and hurt by Ben’s actions, she’s determined to be better and not bitter. She’s concentrating on the kids for now, but has vowed to pick herself up and find love again with someone who is ten times the man Ben could ever be.”

The wording of Ben’s dating profile was a particular bone of contention for the 36-year-old singer. “The fact that it seemed to suggest she may be bossy and uptight has absolutely sickened her,” we’re told. “It seems like a cheap shot, considering she says she had to put up with so much during their marriage. It makes Ben seem like a child himself, who couldn’t handle the responsibility of being a committed partner – and she wants to find herself a man not a boy to move on with.”

The insider continues, “Una has told her friends that she’s going to make Ben pay in so many ways he won’t know what’s hit him. She’s confident that he is going to miss the kids and his family life a lot once he’s had all his fun in New York. But Una won’t be around to wait for him, and he’ll come to realise everything that he’s thrown away.” ■ KATIE HOLLOWAY
