Turns out you CAN be friends with an ex
We’re used to seeing celebrities Insta-trash their exes, before blanking them on the red carpet. So this public display of affection came as quite a shock. To be clear: Kate Moss and Jamie Hince split in 2015 after a tempestuous four years of marriage, which saw them dogged by stories of jealousy and heavy partying. But the former couple were spotted last week reuniting for lunch in Los Angeles alongside Kate’s daughter, Lila Grace, 16, and their close friend Kelly Osbourne. And judging by these snaps, they actually still like each other’s company. Maybe even more so now they’re not actually married.
Kate, 44, has been looking happier and healthier than she’s ever been over the past year, after overhauling her lifestyle and ditching the booze, and her friendly reunion with her ex only serves to highlight how far she’s come. The former flames didn’t have the most amicable of splits: she was reportedly unhappy with his female friendships, while Jamie, 49, was said to be fed up of the model’s non-stop boozing. Shortly before they broke up, there were even reports that Kate pushed DJ and socialite Lady Mary Charteris into a swimming pool, after being infuriated by her and Jamie’s close friendship. In turn, the Kills’ guitarist was said to be outraged when she began dating toyboy Count Nikolai von Bismarck so soon after they split. But recently, they’ve done the seemingly impossible and actually stayed on amicable terms – with Jamie even lovingly calling his ex-wife “Pickle” on Instagram.
It’s a term of endearment, OK? We love a happy ending. ■
