Singer keen to start family
Having conquered the pop world, Katy Perry has set her sights on a new goal – becoming a mum. And an insider close to the singer tells us, “She’s deep in the planning stage. She’s desperate to have a baby.”
Katy, 33, started dating 41-year-old actor Orlando Bloom in 2016, but the couple split for around a year in February 2017. They reunited in April of this year and are now reportedly keen to settle down. “Katy seems obsessed,” says the source. “She has been trying for months, and Orlando knows he’s on call whenever Katy messages him .” Pirates Of The Caribbean star Orlando already has a son, Flynn, seven, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. And Katy married comedian Russell Brand in 2010, but the couple split up before having children.
Our insider adds that Katy is convinced she will get pregnant soon – so much so, she’s taken her preparation to the next level. We’re told, “She’s shopping for baby clothes, a bed and a stroller. She’s already done the wedding thing with Russell, so she’s not fussed about doing that with Orlando – she just wants to take the next step in their relationship and start a family with him. Orlando is on board, but has tried to tell Katy that the big event will happen when she stops thinking about it so much.” n
