Exiled Justin asks Jen for forgiveness

Actor is ‘desperate’ to have peace talks with his ex-wife

When you’re the man on the arm of America’s sweetheart, you get a lot of doors opened for you – there’s no red rope barring you from VIP areas. But, as Justin Theroux is learning, you might not get quite the same treatment when you break up.

Sources tell us that, following his split with Jennifer Aniston, Justin has been on the receiving end of some rather brutal silent treatment from Jen and her Alist friends. “Justin has started to become desperate for peace talks between him and Jen, as he fears the walls are closing in on him in Hollywood – thanks to her giving him the cold shoulder.”

The couple were married for two years, and together for five, and announced their separation in February 2018. In a recent interview, Justin, 47, claimed that his break-up with the Friends actress was amicable and that they are still, er, friends.

“Neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other,” he said. “It’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be. It was heartbreaking, only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day. But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”

However, it seems that their “friendship” isn’t really working in Justin’s favour, as our insider tells us he feels like he’s been exiled from Tinseltown.

“Justin’s career is not where he wants it to be right now. He has been busying himself with voiceover work, but he feels he is being overlooked for other stuff – and he can’t help but feel his frosty relationship with Jen isn’t helping,” we’re told. “She isn’t purposefully blackballing him, but the fact is, Jen has a lot of friends in this town and people talk. They all know that what he said in that interview was rubbish and that she’s still not happy with him.”

And, as all women know when an ex wrongs their mate, if they want to shut someone out completely, they’ll do it. We’re told, “Justin can sense there are some doors being shut because it’s all connected to Jen’s clique, so he’s desperate for peace talks to turn things around. But when Jen shuts someone out, that’s it.

“She can be a total ice queen if she feels she has been wronged, which isn’t surprising, given how much she has had to put up with throughout her tumultuous love life.” ■
