Don’t be afraid to mix up your textures with cosy knits or denim pieces – it’ll instantly make the look more wearable.

If you want to emphasise your waist, try a paper-bag waistband on trousers or skirts and tuck in your top. Alternatively, a trenchstyle dress that will nip you in. Simple, yet effective.

If you want to balance out your shape, draw the eye away for the area you’d rather not focus on. Try more streamlined shapes and fluted styles that will skim your figure.
