Narcos: Mexico
Netflix, Friday 16 November
We’ve had three series of Narcos set in Colombia, but now, the show has been reset, retitled and relocated to – you guessed it – Mexico. This new incarnation is set in the 1980s, back when the world of Mexican drug trafficking was a disorganised bunch of independent growers and dealers. Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) plays Félix Gallardo, who becomes leader of the rising Guadalajara Cartel and unites traffickers in order to build an empire. Michael Peña (Ant-man And The Wasp) is DEA agent Kiki Camarena, who moves his family from California to Guadalajara to take on the challenge of bringing Gallardo down. As he gathers evidence, he becomes more entangled in his mission and, as you’d expect, a tragic chain of events occurs.
