Bella: ‘Stacey Solomon’s my idol’
She wants to follow in the star’s footsteps
Bella Penfold is already proving incredibly popular with X Factor viewers, and when heat chats to her at the Pride Of Britain Awards, she’s thrilled to have people screaming her name. She says, “I absolutely love it. Every aspect of this whole experience, I am loving, and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it. I’m so grateful, I don’t even know who to thank – God, the team – I don’t know who’s done what, but someone’s done something for me to be here today!”
Thrust into the world of celebrity, Bella admits it’s overwhelming, but she reels off a list of stars she’s already met. One in particular stands out for the 19 year old – Loose Women star Stacey Solomon, who came third on The X Factor in 2009.
“She has such a great personality,” Bella gushes. “And she’s someone I really look up to, just because she’s such a lovely down-to-earth person – it really comes across with everything she does. I’d really like to be a little bit like her.”
Bella also reveals the advice that the 29-year-old presenter gave her, saying, “Stacey just said to carry on what you’re doing, just be your bubbly self.”
