Out Of Here! at the end of 2016, she’s landed a series of coveted TV jobs and racked up a cool £1million over the past year. But while she’s swapped watching telly on the sofa for exotic holidays – she was pictured on yet another sunshine vacay in Tenerife with her best friends last week, following trips to Dubai, Vietnam and Florida – it seems money can’t buy everything, and a source close to Scarlett tells us she’s worried her earnings could be having an undesirable effect on her love life.
We’re told, “Scarlett is really panicking that not only will people from her past come out of the woodwork, but also that any man she meets now will only be after her for her money. She’s lonely and would really like to meet someone, but she feels like she can’t trust anyone.”
Scarlett, 28, most recently had an on/off relationship with personal trainer Lee Wilkinson. After dating for a few months, the pair split in April and Scarlett accused Lee of infidelity, ranting online, “I just choose lying cheats, it’s a skill.” The pair then got back together before splitting again in July. It was reported that Lee had been cheating on Scarlett with his ex-girlfriend, Sam Irving, and the pair reconciled after his split with Scarlett. After all this heartbreak, it’s no wonder Scarlett is worried about getting back in the dating game. “All her mates tried to tell her at the time that Lee might be using her for her fame and money, but she didn’t listen,” says our source. “Now she finds it scary that she ever got involved with him.”
The insider adds that Scarlett is even questioning her choice of job. We’re told, “She loves her work and all the great people she’s met, but there’s not been anyone that she’s immediately clicked with.
“It makes her sad to think she might have sacrificed a normal, happy life with a husband and kids for her career.”
