How Ange plans to ruin brad’s Christmas

It’s jingle all the way to court for the exes

Tis almost the season of goodwill – but sadly, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie appear to have missed the memo. Because, while most families will be making plans to come together and put aside their differences in the spirit of Christmas, the warring exes have upped the ante with their custody battle, and are now set to go head-tohead in court next month. And according to insiders, it’s Angelina who’s demanding they thrash it out so close to the holidays.

“Ange really let rip at Brad. She thinks he’s being selfish in not giving her what she wants in the divorce, and says it will only cause the family more pain over the festive period,” a source close to the former couple tells heat. “Brad’s been blindsided by her actions from the beginning, and feels she’s the one who is causing all the unnecessary complications. He’s simply not willing to roll over and give her everything she wants, so it looks like things are set to get uglier in the run-up to Christmas.”

The Hollywood pair, who split in 2016 after an 11-year relationship and two years of marriage, are at war over custody of their six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and ten-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Since they split, Brad, 54, has made concerted efforts to clean up his act and has gone sober – after publicly admitting that his heavy boozing helped destroy their relationship. But while he’s seeking shared custody, Ange, 43, is demanding sole custody of their kids. And even though they reached an interim agreement over the summer – after a court forced Angelina to allow Brad more time with the children – negotiations have apparently turned sour, and they’re now heading to court in early December to thrash out the details. In addition, they’ve also got the small matter of dividing up their property, since they married without a prenup.

“It couldn’t be worse timing for a family court case and everyone close to them thinks they’re crazy for not coming to an agreement sooner,” we’re told. “It’s going to be a miserable time for the children, who have been hoping their parents would sort things out. They can all sense the tension in the air.”
