Megan & Pete’s TOXIC REUNION
Uh-oh, the exes have joined the same dating agency
Double dating can be painful enough as it is, but doing it with your ex must be particularly brutal – especially when you’re both known to be hotheads. So, we’re expecting some pretty explosive scenes when fiery Megan Mckenna and Pete Wicks are put in that very situation on the new series of Celebs Go Dating.
When Pete, 30 – freshly single after splitting from his latest TOWIE co-star, Shelby Tribble – signed up to look for love on the E4 show, crafty bosses went after his vocal ex, Megan, 26, in an attempt to create a reality TV masterpiece. “Megan will go into the show later than the other stars, like Amy Tapper did earlier this year,” confirmed a show insider. “There’s going to be fireworks – their split was very bitter. The producers want someone everyone will be talking about, and who’ll cause drama and shake things up. Megan’s great TV and everyone’s so happy she’s signed up.”
While the pair have been separated for just over a year, we can’t imagine the exes will share many pleasantries over mixers and canapés as they set out to find love. To recap, Megan and Pete had a roller-coaster, on/off relationship – not helped by Pete sending flirty messages to several women, including his ex – before finally calling it quits for good in October last year. Their break-up was so bitter, they had to be pulled apart by TOWIE crew when a row between them kicked off massively last April, after Pete said he had “wasted a year of [his] f**king life”, while Megan spat back that he was a “f**king prick” who put on a “f**king bullshit f**king act”. Yikes. Might want to work on your sweet talk.
Megan has been single since splitting from Love Island’s Mike Thalassitis in September. Last week, Megan accused him of harrassing her, claiming he’d filmed her naked without her consent. Adding to the drama is Pete’s recent closeness to Kerry Katona, 38, who is also in the show. Just hours before Megan’s
‘There’ll definitely be fireworks’
announcement was made, Pete was pictured “cuddling up” to the mum-of-five outside the launch after-party – in front of waiting cameras, of course.
But our concerns lie with poor Tom Read Wilson, the show’s charming receptionist, who gives the celebs poetic pep talks before every consultation. Consider this a warning, Pete and Meg: if you break his spirit, we’re coming for you.
