What were your holidays like when you were a kid?

We went to Sandbanks because my dad’s family are from Dorset, so that was our beach holiday. The one overseas holiday I do remember was to Ghana [where her mum’s family are from]. It was five weeks and my mum made sure we saw every side of the country. We saw posh hotels, but she also took us to the streets, where there was poverty and children running around with no clothes on.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten on holiday?

I remember going to Mexico and trying absolutely everything – even a shot of tequila from a bottle with a scorpion in it. When I went to India, I ate all the street food and got Delhi belly.

Strangest souvenir that you’ve brought home?

I went to Morocco recently and the hotel I was staying in was built on crystals, so I brought back about ten rocks in my suitcase. I only have three on display at home – I gave the rest away – but what a random thing to bring back.

Where’s the coolest hotel you’ve ever stayed?

Soho House in Berlin was incredible. I was there doing a TV promo and they spoilt me. I had a huge lounge, dining room, bedroom and huge bathroom – it was so luxurious. I could have lived there forever.

Your holiday bucket list?

I haven’t been to South America and I’d love to go to Brazil. And somewhere really cold, like Iceland, as I’m always going away to hot places.

Best holiday companion?

My boyfriend [fashion designer Marcel Badiane-robin]. He understands my work and that I need to post things, and he’s amazing at taking pictures. He is my location scout and he edits the shots – he’s my Insta hubby.

Any holiday disasters?

Marcel and I went to Zante when we’d only been together for a year and a half. There was all-inclusive buffet that we hit up really late, when the food had been out all day, and when we got back to the hotel, I was on the toilet and throwing up. I was mortified.
