Freshen up your post-party face with our morning-after beauty selection

Partied too hard? Here’s how to look (and feel) restored

-

HAIR

Despite our best efforts, our bed hair is never quite tousled and sexy enough – but we’re not above faking it. Never underestimate the power of dry shampoo, especially if you want your blow-dry to last an extra day. Spray throughout lengths to rebuild body, volume and texture. If you brave a shower (all power to you), then try a revitalising tea-tree shampoo, which will help to reawaken not only your hair, but your mind, too. Lastly, give your locks a break and put down the hair dryer – all that heat is way too much. A rich cream styler designed for air-drying locks will de-frizz and add control, and you’ll have a lush style that’ll last all day. Grab a Berocca and thank us later.

SKIN

Late nights, cocktails and party food are a delish combo, but they can play havoc with our complexions. Thankfully, there’s heaps of blemishbusting prods to bring you back to life. With proseccoinduced spots rife at this time of year, slapping on a gel-based face mask can be your skin’s salvation. Natural ingredients like elderflower will help by balancing and calming skin. Want those blemishes gone? Try a product rich in salicylic acid, which works to penetrate pores and fight spots. Still lacking radiance? Finish with a spritz of facial mist containing vitamin C and collagen-boosting amino acids. Did you even drink last night?

BODY

While maintaining a soft, smooth bod is a party season necessity, it can be tricky when you’ve had one too many the night before. Fight the dryness by heading for a hot shower and using a body scrub bursting with skin-smoothing properties. This will break down leftover fake tan, remove dry skin and add protecting moisture. Post-shower relaxation is also key, so indulge in a rejuvenating body oil. Ingredients such as lavender and jasmine will calm and relax both the skin and the mind, helping to mend that hellish hangover. In a rush and need a quick fix? Spritz legs with a shimmer mist to add radiance. You may be dying on the inside, but you’ll look fly on the outside.
