Katie Price may have staved off bankruptcy, but friends are worried she’ll still be having an unhappy Skintmas

Katie Price has once again managed the unimaginable, and been rescued from the brink of financial ruin. The petition to make her bankrupt was dismissed by the High Court last week after Katie agreed a plan to pay back what she owes – thought to be around £500k in total.
However, the 40 year old’s friends are worried it won’t be long before she’s in trouble again. And with Christmas rapidly approaching, they are particularly fearful that she won’t be able to curb her spending. “Katie’s still broke – and although she has said she’ll cut back and won’t get the kids any presents for Christmas, her friends know she’s an impulse buyer,” we’re told. “She’s an addictive shopper and she loves spoiling her kids.”
Katie is also fond of places such as Primark and Poundland, but our insider adds she even manages to overspend in them. “She believes she’s saving, but ends up overloading her baskets with stuff for the kids and spending £500,” we’re told.
It’s unknown how many of Katie’s five children will be with her at Christmas as she shares custody of Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler, while Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, are currently living with their dad, Peter Andre.
And, our insider tells us that, although Katie – who’s also mum to 16-year-old Harvey – is claiming she’s being thrifty, she feels like she’s in competition with Peter. “She says Pete can give them all the expensive gifts, like designer clothes and trips to Florida, but what she gives them is free – a mother’s love. In reality, though, all her friends know the gifts will be overflowing at Christmas. She even wants to buy more animals – and they aren’t cheap.”
The insider adds that the mum of five is now under extreme pressure to keep earning in order to meet the repayment schedule and is upping her sponsored Insta posts and club appearances to keep the money rolling in.
And if Katie’s cash-flow woes weren’t enough drama to contend with, there are also rumours that she’s gotten engaged to on/off boyfriend Kris Boyson and another wedding (and possibly a costly divorce) could be on the cards. We’re told, “Her friends are praying she can keep her finances under control – but until she can manage her relationships they think there’s little hope of that.”
