Love is officially dead as Jack and Dani split up
They were the bookies’ favourite to win this year’s Love Island from the opening episode, but Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer have officially split just four months after their triumph this summer.
In a shock announcement via her Instagram stories, Dani posted the message, “Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term. We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand.”
The 22 year old had moved into a flat in London with Jack, 27, shortly after winning the dating show and the pair had recently got a puppy together. Awkwardly, the couple are still committed to a number of work projects.
Just next week the Love Island
Christmas Reunion will air, and the advert currently shows them happily dancing together. Jack and Dani have also confirmed that they will act as social media hosts for the National Television Awards on 22 January, and the pair had only just wrapped on filming their own reality show, to air in January. It is currently unknown if they plan to continue with all of these commitments.
Jack – a former stationery salesman – admitted that the pair had argued throughout the filming of their show. “We had bickers during filming, just like any other couple. I got emotional with Dani doing it – I even had a couple of tear-ups. But Dani and I got through it.”
Who’d have thought we’d be relying on Adam and Zara to fill the role of couple goals, eh?
