Broody Lisa set to adopt
And she wants a fur baby, too
During their 11-year marriage, Lisa Armstrong and Ant Mcpartlin often spoke about their desire to have children. Just a year before their split, Ant had said, “We would love to have a family, so fingers crossed. If we’re blessed with children, we’d be over the moon!” However, while the couple divorced before ever becoming parents, we’re told that Lisa is now considering having a family by herself.

Lisa and Ant split in January 2018, and were granted the first part of their divorce in October of the same year. By March of that year, Ant was in a new relationship with his personal assistant, Anne-marie Corbett. The pair have been pictured playing happy families with Anne-marie’s kids and two new Maltipoo puppies, as well as getting in some baby practice with Ant’s sidekick Declan Donnelly’s seven-month-old daughter Isla.
We’re told, “Lisa isn’t just looking into the adoption of a child, she also wants a new puppy, and has joked to her friends that she’s going to pull it all off before Ant and Anne-marie do, as she feels she’s being constantly bombarded by pictures of them playing happy families.”
While Lisa, 42, and Ant, 43, were granted a decree nisi at the end of last year, they are still battling out their divorce settlement. One significant issue is their beloved dog, Hurley – the five-year-old chocolate Labrador is a sticking point for both parties, as they currently share custody. Last week, Lisa signalled that she may be ready to forgive Ant and let him back in her life by liking a tweet that read, “People who are meant to be together find their way back. They may take a few detours, but they’re never lost.”
Despite this, we’re told she is still excited to start a new solo chapter in her life. Our insider adds, “Lisa’s baby plan is not about trying to make Ant jealous, it’s about finding her own contentment and moving on from all the drama. She wants to let go of the anger and bitterness, and is excited about embarking on this new journey by herself.” ■
