Louise: ‘Why won’t anyone date me?’

Guys, it’s official, there’s literally no hope for any single woman out there. Stunning and lovely Louise Redknapp has opened up about getting back on the dating scene following her split from husband, Jamie. And it doesn’t sound like it’s going too well, with the singer lamenting, “I’m never going to meet anyone!”
Speaking last week, the 44 year old admitted, “It’s really hard for women. I’m beginning to think I’m never going to meet anyone – I’ve not been out for a meal, just me and a guy in a restaurant, in two years. That makes me sound really sad, doesn’t it?”
Louise – who is currently relaunching her music career with sexy new single Stretch – briefly got everyone excited last week when she was pictured with a hot “mystery man” in London, but she quickly dashed fans’ hopes, writing on Instagram, “Just to clear up the reports that are in the papers today! This lovely man is head of security at
Soho House and kindly helped me out of the car with my bags and across some roadworks! For this to be portrayed as anything else is complete fabrication and a nice gesture has been blown out of proportion.”
Making the whole thing way worse is that Jamie, 45, isn’t having the same issues. The former footballer – who is dad to Louise’s two boys, Charley, 14, and Beau, ten – has regularly been linked with hot younger women since their split, including French model Julia Restoin Roitfeld. Most recently, he was spotted out on a date with another model (and Louise-lookalike) Lizzie Bowden, 34. The pair were seen leaving celeb haunt Annabel’s in London’s Mayfair earlier this month, before climbing into the back of a car together – and understandably, his exwife says it’s “hard” to see. She revealed, “It’s hard for the boys. I tell them, ‘Dad’s a single man and he’s doing nothing wrong.’ [But] I start looking at the [other women] thinking, ‘Do they look like me?’”
The pair split in 2017 after 19 years of marriage – just months after the former Eternal singer’s brilliant turn on Strictly Come Dancing. But Louise dismisses talk of the curse, insisting the timing was a coincidence. “Strictly put the fire back in my belly, but it didn’t break up my relationship,” she said. “After 20 years of marriage, it takes a lot more than that.” At the time, Louise – who is currently starring in 9 To 5, the West End Dolly Parton musical – admitted the BBC dancing show had “switched a light back on” after many years of feeling like she had “no passion”.
