Kevin & Brianne: engaged after two months
The DOI couple sealed the whirlwind deal
He might not have been super-smooth on the ice, but Kevin Kilbane has certainly got some smooth moves in real life, after proposing to his Dancing On Ice partner Brianne Delcourt last week.
The former professional footballer, 42, serenaded his skating partner in a London restaurant before getting down on one knee and presenting Brianne with a ring – estimated to be worth £53k. Brianne, 38, was clearly surprised by the romantic gesture and exclaimed, “Are you serious?” before accepting the offer.
The couple – who were eliminated from the ITV skating show two weeks ago – have only been dating for a matter of weeks after they were paired up late last year. They have already moved in together, and dad-of-two Kevin – who split from his wife in 2011 – is apparently also a hit with Brianne’s three-year-old daughter Gracie. “We are really happy,” Brianne revealed recently. “Gracie adores Kevin. It’s very comfortable.”
DOI seems to be a fabulous place to meet eligible single men, as three of Brianne’s exes have participated in the show. She dated Corrie star Danny Young after she was paired up with him in 2010, followed by Eastenders actor Sam Attwater in 2011 – although they were accused of faking it, after Sam was pictured kissing another pro skater. In 2013, she dated another ’Enders star, Matt Lapinskas. Brianne later admitted he had cheated on Shona Mcgarty with her, before he went on to cheat on Brianne with a theatre actress.
But we’re sure it’ll be happily ever after for Kevin and Brianne. ■
