Lizzo was truly living her best life at the BRIT Awards. Blame it on her… tequila
The singer wins hearts at the BRITS
He may not have won any awards at the BRITS last week, but there was no doubt Harry Styles absolutely won our hearts. Bringing his unique, dare we say, magical charm to the evening, he entranced viewers, flirted with the stars and gave us all a sartorial display to remember.
Arriving on the red carpet in a Gucci suit with a Peter Pan collar, the singer accessorised with a pearl necklace and a black ribbon on his lapel as a tribute to former girlfriend Caroline Flack. Performing his song Falling, the 26 year old wore a lace Gucci (again) jumpsuit, complete with matching gloves – a look fans called “brave” and “beautiful”.
For his third outfit change of the night, Harry paired a bright yellow Marc Jacobs suit with a lilac pussy bow blouse and sported a “Treat People With Kindness” badge, in another tribute to Caroline. His androgynous fashion choices always make headlines, thanks to stylist Harry Lambert, who described last week’s looks as “granny chic with a touch of Princess Diana”, and “rock ’n’ roll with a touch of British camp”.
But it wasn’t just his wardrobe that had us talking. The ménage à trois of sheer positivity and love between Harry, Lizzo and host Jack Whitehall set Twitter alight. “Hizzo is alive!” the tweets screamed of Harry and Lizzo. Holding hands and snuggling into each other, the two delighted the crowd with their canoodling as
Jack tried to interview them. After asking Harry about his love life and taking psychedelic drugs, Jack discovered Harry was drinking straight tequila, prompting Lizzo to down the whole glass on camera. Rock ’n’ roll, man.
The raucous night came after it was reported that Harry had been mugged on Valentine’s Day. While he was not injured in the incident, police confirmed that he had handed cash over to his assailant after being threatened with a knife near to his home in North London.
It’s no wonder he enjoyed a night out with good friends, good tequila and great wardrobe choices after such a horrible experience. ■
