Now, according to insiders, Gem’s decided it’s time to up the ante and show the world just how sexy she can be – for a premium price, that is.
We’re told she’s been closely watching the growing success of Onlyfans (the subscription-based platform where users can post risqué content for paying fans) and has decided it’s time to cash-in on her candy. And that means joining the site, with a “tasteful” nude photo shoot to kick things off.
“Gemma is really impressed with how far she’s come on her weight-loss journey and how good she looks,” says an insider close to the reality star, who hasn’t let her bitter split from Arg – after he shockingly called her a “hippo” and a “fat f**k” via text – hold her back or hamper her health kick. “But she’s also annoyed that she still worries about what Arg is getting up to, or who he’s going to be pictured with. She wants to keep the attention on her and maybe make him a bit jealous, too, by doing some kind of pin-up shoot. She wants to prove to him that she’s a sex symbol and that he’s an idiot for constantly trying to put her down and call her names.”
Meanwhile, it’s not just a boost in confidence that’s made Gem, 39, consider baring all. Over the past few months, Onlyfans has rocketed in success, with A-list names such as Bella Thorne and Cardi B raking it in with their pay-per-view content – while homegrown stars like Kerry Katona and Lauren Goodger are also making big bucks. Last month, it was estimated that former Love Islander Megan Barton-hanson is earning up to £800k per month with her members-only photos and videos on the site. According to our insider, savvy businesswoman Gemma is always looking for lucrative ways to stay relevant – and Onlyfans is the obvious next step.
“She loves how all these big celebs are now doing Onlyfans, and thinks it could really boost her sex appeal,” we’re told. “Stars like Bella and Cardi B have taken away the stigma surrounding it. Gemma has been thinking up some really creative ideas for the kind of content she wants to put on there, and she just thinks she’d be a positive role model for bigger girls who aren’t afraid to show off their curves.”
