Why Lisa’s talking marriage again

Who says you can’t have it all?

- CHARLOTTE OLIVER

e’ve said it once and we’ll say it again – if anyone deserves a happy ending, it’s Lisa Armstrong. After all, the TV make-up artist has been through the absolute wringer over the past few years, ever since her and Ant Mcpartlin’s 11-year marriage broke down in 2018, and the exes launched into lengthy divorce proceedings – while he moved on in record time with their former

WPA Anne-marie Corbett. But, as heat has told you, the last few months have been transformative for Lisa. She’s got a hot new man, a swanky new home, and her career is absolutely soaring. According to insiders, the 44 year old has never felt happier – and while she’s in no big rush to settle down again, we’re told she’s also not saying “No” to what the future holds.

“Things are going so well for Lisa in both her professional and personal life,” says an insider close to Strictly’s head of make-up, who went public with her new boyfriend James Green in August. “She and James [who has also been married before] are in no rush, but they’re both on the same page about the future – they’ve already discussed marriage. After everything Lisa went through with Ant and how hurt she was, she never thought she’d find someone who could change her mind about settling down again. It’s still early days, and she’s happy with how things are going, but she won’t let what happened before put her off getting married.”

Meanwhile, it’s not just Lisa’s love life that’s coming up trumps. Last month, she splashed out on a £3.8m house in west London, and she’s since been clearing out her and Ant’s former marital home ahead of selling it and starting afresh in

her new pad. And then there’s her stellar career, which is in serious ascendancy since she launched her own make-up range with Avon and also returned to the day job at Strictly. Not bad for a lady who’s been labelled “Poor Lisa” ever since Ant filed for divorce. According to our source, Lisa’s relishing every minute and, once again, saying “Yes” to every opportunity coming her way.

“She’s concentrating on her new house and making it a home, as well as promoting the new make-up range,” we’re told. “It’s been such a success, and the demand is now on to bring out more products. She really can’t believe how far she’s come since this time last year.”

We can’t believe it either, Lisa, but we love to see it. ■
