Charlotte Dawson: ‘I was always meant to be a MILF’
Your son Noah was born at the end of last month – how’s motherhood going? I think it’s really important to show the more relatable side to it – it’s difficult! We don’t want to put make-up on, we don’t want to do our hair, we don’t even want to get dressed some days, and we’re obviously leaking from every angle! As minging as it can be, you’ve just got to embrace it. Obviously, you don’t look like you did, and we’ve got to embrace our jelly bellies after giving birth. I just want to make other mums feel good, and not feel like they have to get straight back on a diet. That’s not real life. How do you deal with any negative comments? All those people want is a reaction, and I do end up giving it back sometimes, because I think some of them are just pathetic. I’m very protective of Noah. What’s been the best thing about becoming a mum? Just seeing his little face.
It makes everything… the birth and all that pain just goes away as soon as you see their little face. I’m just loving mum life, really. I never thought I’d say that. I think I was always meant to be a mum – well, a MILF. And seeing Matthew [Sarsfield, her fiancé] with him as well – it’s just an amazing feeling. I feel like my whole world is complete.
