Angelina to show ‘proof’ of domestic violence
New twist in four-year divorce from Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie has sensationally claimed she can offer “proof and authority in support” of alleged domestic violence during her upcoming divorce trial from Brad Pitt. And along with Angelina’s testimony, she is said to have also filed “proof” in support of her children testifying, too – if the judge allows it. It was widely reported after their split in 2016 that Brad was under investigation by the FBI after an incident involving the actor and eldest son Maddox while aboard a private jet. However, he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
The pair – who are parents to Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12 – have been locked in bitter divorce proceedings for well over four years now, with this latest trial over custody of the children. It’s been so long since their split that Maddox is now too old to be considered in the arrangements.
But according to experts, it could well take another six years before their divorce is finalised – with each believed to have spent $1million so far in legal fees. Speaking to heat, LA divorce attorney Kelly Chang Rickert tells us, “This could become one of the most expensive divorce cases in Hollywood history in terms of legal fees. It’s definitely one of the longest celebrity cases we have ever seen.”
“Angelina seems to think she can get sole custody of the kids, and she keeps paying millions to fight for it. She also keeps changing attorneys, which is an indication that she isn’t willing to give up. While other people might run out of funds, [she can] just keep fighting.”
