The Mummy Diaries’ cheeky chappy is more than ready for a family vacay
It’s fair to say that Greg Shepherd is itching for a holiday right now. In PRECOVID times, he and wife Billie, 31 – and their adorable kids Nelly, six, and Arthur, four – were certifiable globetrotters. But that’s been swapped over the past year for homeschooling, overseeing the demolition of their new house to make way for a brand-new mansion, and continued filming for their ITV2 series The Mummy Diaries. Yes, it’s been a tad full-on, especially after their neighbours contested their plans to renovate the Essex property (water under the bridge now), plus Billie’s shock early departure from Dancing On Ice after she suffered a concussion. So, speaking to heat, Greg, 36, says the travel ban can’t be lifted soon enough…
Are you relieved that homeschooling is over? Yes, I am indeed! And I hope it stays that way. It’s better for the whole family, especially for Nelly – she’s back at school with her friends. It must have been so hard for the kids, with no interaction. Nelly and Arthur have their moments, but they have each other at home. It was hardest when Billie was doing her DOI training and I was with the pair of them indoors, trying to keep them occupied and off the ipads. How’s work on the new house going? Good. It was a bigger job than we first imagined, so it’s been a little stressful, but I’m just letting the builder get on with it. We had to go through some hurdles, but we’re out of the woods and just moving forwards. What about holiday plans? Hopefully at some point, we can get back to the Maldives [the couple held their famously raucous week-long wedding there in 2019]. I’m actually sitting here now, planning all the holidays for the year and moving the ones we booked last year. We’ve had to keep changing dates – I had to change one four times! Fingers crossed we can get away when the restrictions are lifted. We don’t know if you’ve heard,but you made it onto the heat Secret Crush list again this year… Ha, yes! I know I was behind
