Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s season of Grey’s ended up being cut short by four episodes – and now the virus enters the show’s fictional world, in this 17th run. As we rejoin the staff of Grey Sloan Memorial for a double-bill of episodes, the story begins one month into the crisis, as Meredith, Bailey and the rest of the doctors find themselves battling this new threat. Meanwhile, there’s story crossover with firefighting show Station 19 (whose fourth season began last Wednesday on Witness/now TV and continues after this episode), when the S19 crew bring burn patients into the hospital.
