‘She’s totally in love and can’t imagine a better dad than Karl’
She’s riding high after her show The Flight Attendant picked up numerous award nominations, but we’re told that Kaley Cuoco is already thinking about the next big project… kids.
“Kaley and Karl [Cook, her husband of three years] have talked about starting a family since they got hitched – it was always the plan, and now they feel they’re ready to make it happen,” an insider close to the star tells heat.
After dating for just over a year, showjumper Karl Cook and Kaley got engaged in November 2017, and married in June the following year in a lavish ceremony. As well as having a horse-shoe altar decoration made with pampas grass as a backdrop to their wedding vows, their lucky guests were treated to a Sephora beauty room for freshening up, and a shoe-shine station.
And now they’re settled in their LA mansion and Kaley has proved herself as a producer as well as an actress, we’re told the couple are ready to start a family. “Now that the first season of The Flight Attendant is done and has been well received, Kaley has cleared a gap in her schedule to make this happen. The timing could be better, really. She’s had the career triumph, so she can check off that box and move on to the next chapter. Plus, she’s totally in love and can’t imagine a better dad than Karl.”
The insider continues, “Up until now, their only ‘babies’ have been their menagerie of pets and horses and Karl’s so sweet, patient and gentle with all of them. Having so many animals has been great parenting training for them both.”
Kaley often shares pictures on Instagram of her many rescue dogs, and it’s clear she adores them. But now it seems it’s time to introduce a human newborn to the gang of fur babies. “Kaley can’t wait to be a mum and she feels broody every time she sees a baby,” we’re told.
The source adds, “They’re both relatively young – she’s 35, he’s 30 – so no one thinks they’ll have a problem conceiving. They want at least two kids, and a boy and a girl would be perfect. Kaley thinks it’s important that their child have a sibling – she doesn’t know what she’d do without her sister Briana.” n
