BO BURNHAM IS RYAN

6ft 5in Bo is perhaps best known as the writer-director of ace US indie flick Eighth Grade, and before that as a Youtube star and stand-up comedian. Here, he plays Cassie’s love interest.

LAVERNE COX IS GAIL

Laverne has earned four nominations for her role in prison TV series Orange Is The New Black, and is a prominent equal rights advocate. Gail is the manager of the coffee shop where Cassie works.

ALISON BRIE IS MADISON

Alison stars as Ruth “Zoya the Destroya” Wilder in Netflix series GLOW. Madison is a college pal who provides vital evidence in Cassie’s plot to get even with the men who ruined her best friend’s life.

CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE IS NEIL

Neil may think of himself as a nice guy, but that doesn’t prevent him trying to take advantage of Cassie when he believes her to be drunk. Christopher is best known as “Mclovin” in Superbad.
