If you’re part of the lockdown baby boom, but you’re not sure how to introduce your fur baby to your new bundle of joy, it’s easier than you think.
GRAEME SAYS: “Don’t wait until the baby is born. The dog won’t be getting as much attention, so start getting them used to this with some alone time before the baby arrives. Encourage them to start laying down in their bed or even a separate chair to create boundaries. Giving the dog a blanket with the baby’s scent is great, but don’t let the dog play with it like a toy and rip it up. Make sure you’re supervising and get the dog to understand to be calm when that smell is around, and make sure you give plenty of praise.”
